Audience research

The target audience is 16-25 year olds. They expect to easily access a Music Video online. Most 16-25 year olds access and view there videos online including social medias and YouTube. The target audience expect to be emotionally engaged with the love song music video and they watch the video to follow a story and a journey, a lot of people find that music videos can also make the song make more sense or the song can become more popular if it has an interesting music video and could be shared more on social media meaning more people aged 16-25 years would see the video. Most love song music videos based foe 16-25 year olds follow a similar love story line, and either follow the story of a couple breaking up or two people falling in love. But one of the most common love song videos is a video following the artist (singer) and it being a performance music video. 

The target audience should be anyone 16-25 years of age and listens to love songs, no specific gender. The audience also slightly adapts to the artist with Universal Music Group, for example the have signed Ariana Grande which generally would pull more on the younger age of 16-25.

The audience can be reached through social media and YouTube and most access points online, as they are constantly viewing things on the media all the time.

I want to include merchandise and a contest and other interactive elements on my website so the younger audience feel more involved in the website. I'm using a young couple for the music video so that they can be relatable to the young audience and so that they would want to engage with the younger artist.
